Woolworths is currently running its Premium Cookware campaign, advertised to run until 7 July (or while stocks last). However, it appears that many stores have already run out of cookware stock and Woolworths has quietly stopped issuing new cookware credits before the advertised end of the campaign. This raises concerns that consumers may have been encouraged to spend more in order to earn cookware credits without a realistic opportunity to redeem them. Could this constitute misleading conduct under the Australian Consumer Law? If so, what is the best way to bring this matter to the ACCC's attention?
