Ah but that isn't your locker. It is for everyone, to hang jackets, store shoes, etc. Would you move any jackets already hanging to make room for your carry on?

I tried to get my clothes out of the locker on my flight to HKG and someone had balanced their clothes so precariusly that everything fell off the hanger when I opened the door...

my point to all this, is there are some seats that have no overhead bin space and so pax may have no choice but to share space with fellow pax

Well only two seats really 1A and 1K (or their equivalents on other airlines) and those are in F where you have people that deal with that for you...

I assume you never sit in row 1 on 747 then?

Last time I sat in 1A, I had to bend over backwards to get to the overhead locker - is that the one you mean? To get to the next locker, I have to stand on the person in the centre of row 2.

Also rear middle seats in zone A and on some aircraft the front part of the overhead bins are used for life raft (737 long overwater flights, 747 antarctic overflights), safety equipment, crew bags, supplies (blankets, pillows, amenity kits) etc.

On all the 747's I've been in, row 1 doesn't have an overhead locker. The overhead bins start above row 2 (ish - depending on config).

Whatever the number, the first locker was hard to get at, and the one behind required me to stand where the guy in row 2 middle would stretch out his legs. QF747. I thought it wasn't great for 1st class.

Still, I suppose we're getting off the topic.

Not much choice about the matter due to the curvature in the nose section. I suppose A380 will be spared this with the coughpit taking up the most forward bit (between upper and middle decks). Where the cabin starts will be further back where curvature is less.

You're probably right. I find rows 3 back are better. I look forward to trying the 380. Still, these are only minor inconveniences - not enough to put me back in economy!!!

mmm touchy subject

So we have

1) pax who put there hand luggage above others seats,
2) pax who move other pax hand luggage,
3) pax who recline their seats all the way because they can.
4) Collingwood Supporters

Who do we hate the most?:p

Thats easy...

Eddie moves your hand luggage.... Squashes his in... reclines his seat ALLLL the way back then starts whistling the club tune...

He has met all the criteria for having almost all of the fellow passengers wanting to "b*ne" him....:D

Eddie Everywhere wouldn't squish his bag in, he would have one of his minnows do it for him.
