Any Oneworld Emerald member try their luck on this private transfer? Going to travel through KLIA using Malaysia Airlines Y as a Qantas Platinum, wonder if i am eligible to use their BMW private transfer?

Tried it from main terminal in March as Qantas Emerald. Dude wanted business class boarding pass - Not sure Enrich emerald would have helped.

Enrich Platinum should be able to get the transfer. While that is for their own Frequent Flyers I don't believe it extends to oneWorld emeralds.

This won't answer the question as I am both QF WP and was flying MH J, but I used the First/Business Transfer Service at Gate G1 a couple of weeks ago.

There was an attendant at the departure level to check eligibility for the service, and another at ground level who checked which airline I was flying with, then gave the option of taking the waiting transfer bus or waiting 10 minutes for the next private car (this was at 9pm, so their busy period). I opted for the bus which was nearly empty anyway.

The ride itself is less than 5 minutes so it seems a bit gimmicky to me. Perhaps it is more valuable in less busy periods (and I'm not sure how often the bus runs).

In related news, it appears Batik Air have commenced a similar service for their J pax using Kia EVs.

It is a 5 min trip...as we were flying Sq J in April we didnt qualify for the BMW...we got the business class bus with 2 other passengers...anyway the train will restart by the end of this year!

5 minutes is generous.... bus takes ~2min to transfer if you get the timing right.

I also note that at MH check-in they now have invitation vouchers for BMW transfers.
But really you're not missing out on anything.

Got to experience this last week. I didn’t really think it was necessary but it was nice nonetheless.
