Melbourne airport question, if anyone can help:

I am flying SYD-MEL on JQ/QF codeshare, then connecting to the MEL-SYD flight (QF484). Does anybody know if I will go thru customs & immigration in Mel, or will it be SYD. Thanks.

Since your JQ flight SYD-MEL is a domestic flight departing from the domestic terminal, you will need to complete immigration and customs processing at MEL

Are you flying SYD-MEL, then MEL-SYD two hours later?

Or is the SYD-MEL a mistake and you are coming from somewhere O/S?

MEL-SYD on a QF flight numbered over 400 is domestic. JQ SYD-MEL is domestic. I think adrian mistyped something (JQ origin perhaps?).

There is only 1 JQ flight a week that travels SYD-MEL (at least in the current timetable), JQ103 (JQ 1 in future timetables) that operates on Mondays, a repositioning flight of a JQi aircraft that operates between international terminals at the two airports. All other JQ SYD-Melbourne flights operate SYD-AVV. I also assume that adrian may have mistyped the JQ origin.
