Flying EK F on July 14, and wondering what the odds are on the QF first lounge in Melbourne reopening by then.

My understanding is that they reopened it for the NZ green flights, which have been paused for now (although theoretically resuming next week)

Tips?

The odds of the lounge being open on the 14th are quite high however you won't be able to access it.

Qantas has only been opening the MEL, SYD and BNE international lounges 3 hours prior to Qantas departures, on the 14th this means the lounge will only be open from 5:50am until 9am. As the emirates departure is at 9:15pm there is no chance it will be open for that departure.

Here are the Qantas operated services from MEL international on the 14th of July:

Emirates has instead been using the Marhaba Lounge in Melbourne which should be open before your 9pm flight.

Right, yeah that had occurred to me. I thought perhaps they were open for the night Jetstar service scheduled on the 14th, but that's likely a long shot. Cheers.

Even if they did you still wouldn't get much time. The JQ flight is at 11:30pm meaning if it did open, it'd open at 8:30pm which is about the same time that EK409 starts boarding (45 minutes before departure).
