Meet A Moderator - Perth, Mon 24/9/07

As I advised in the Meeting Forum yesterday, I am about to embark on one of my across Australia trips (BNE/SYD/PER/ADL/SYD/BNE) starting on Sunday.

As I have a free night in PER on Monday, I thought I should organise a get-together. Last time, we (StevePER , perthite and I) settled on the micro brewery in the CBD (I can't remember the name) as the meeting place - I'd be available from around 6pm.

Well, looks like Skoogle is also up for a meet at the SYD QP on my transit this afternoon.

Sorry, QF009, next MEL trip will be early October (and Nov & Dec).

Flashware, just a forum for members to meet over a couple of beers and have a chat. I'll have to head around 8pm (have work to prepare for the next day).

Also looking for v8Statesman to reply...not sure whether he's in PER at present..

Have arrived in SYD (got an earlier flight, thankfully in hindsight) and am sitting in the FT/AFF corner on my laptop. Just on the phone to Dave Noble. Just have to change my seat allocation, thanks to Dave Noble's advice. Actually, he's just turned up, so there are two Moderators here at SYD T3 QP and we've just had a telephone call with NM, so we've had a quorum for Moderators....

Flashware, in fact, we're about to ring you...I'm staying at the Hilton but would rather not drink there - now that we have spoken, we'll get together.

there are two Moderators here at SYD T3 QP and we've just had a telephone call with NM, so we've had a quorum for Moderators....

Advertising that fact could have been risky, T3 QP could have become a target for the AFF Cell of Al Qaeda.

Todays weather is PERfect for drinking. At the least you cant complain the rocks for the scotch aren't fresh, not sure how much scotch will be left in the glass though.

Actually I'm sunburnt following the fantastic weekend we've just had. And I've got a cold at the same time... not a pleasant combination.

A little OT BUT does anyone have a suggestion about what we should call a group of moderators. I've a good suggestion however I'll throw it open for a bit before I make my suggestion.

Hi oz_mark, I have just returned to the Hilton after my day of work...I thought it was the Belgian Beer Cafe. Flashware may be joining us later. I'm on my way there now (as soon as I log off). I won't make it much past 8pm - struggling with the time zone change after the late flight last night adn the taxi queue that reached back into the Terminal.

Was great to meet skoogle last night - I trust Dave Noble didn't lead you astray after I left to catch my flight.

I'll be wearing a green suit and trousers, with a blue & tan tie with red tulips on it. We'll be the ones talking about flying. I'm tall (6'2"), but as we'll probably be sitting , that won't help you.

When in doubt, ring my mobile when you're there and look around to see who answers their phone.
