Transferred 87K NAB rewards yesterday (NAB and I have a love affair) and the points and 15% bonus in my Velocity account today. Still waiting for my 15% from my 84K NAB rewards from the previous NAB rewards card that I transferred in late March as the 6 weeks deadline approaches.

Transferred all the FlyBuys points I had :D Been saving up for an occasion like this... Too bad I am still waiting for a bonus 50,000 points to reach the account :p

I would have waited at least to the beginning of the last week of May to see if the 50k fronted.

While there's a limit of 138,000 points transfer a year, there is nothing stopping you making multiple transfers.

Frantically transferring my ANZ reward points over for the bonus points. Great time for a deal.

I just received an email from AMEX advertising the extra 10% bonus (25% in total) for Platinum Charge card holders making a transfer during the promotion period.

As a reference to others, I did a manual transfer from ANZ to Velocity yesterday afternoon, and the points + 50% bonus were already in my account this morning :D
I had been holding off waiting for a decent transfer bonus from ANZ, so very happy!
Transferred mine two days ago and still nothing in Velocity account so looks like you were lucky to get it that quick

Although I usually fly SQ, I'm thinking of opening a Velocity account to take advantage of this offer and transfer points to KF later. Is there currently a sign-up bonus or a promo code? And what is the expiry time for Velocity points?

100,000 Amex MR points = 125,000 Velocity points = 92,592 KrisFlyer points if I'm not mistaken so that doesn't sound like the best idea.

Velocity points don't expire as long as you earn or redeem points at least very 24 months. As the previous poster pointed out it probably isn't a great deal for transfers to SQ - unless you plan on closing your Amex account and want to warehouse them in VA before transferring them to SQ prior to redemption.

It should be noted that the 25% bonus is only for Platinum Charge and above (Ascent Premium). 15% bonus for all other MR transfers (Acsent etc).

There is one example where it might win if you dont conver the points from VFF to KF

Busness reward on SQ BNE-SIN is 58000 KFF or 65000 VFF.
if one transfers 58000 points to Velocity, they will get 66700 VFF. So slightly in front but hardly worth the trouble me thinks :)

Thanks to all for their advice. I think it's a different offer that I'm looking at - nothing to do with Amex charge cards, but transfer of ANZ rewards points. ANZ are offering a total 50% bonus for transfer of points to Velocity (but not to KrisFlyer) during the month of May.

I received an email from Amex yesterday stating that the current 15%/25% VFF bonus offer has been extended for Ascent Premium members until 18 June 2017. This may mean transfers from other programs may also be extended.

VFF must not have given away the billion points yet and need a bit more time. They have certainly been flogging this promotion pretty hard.

The 'billion point giveaway' is only used for marketing purposes. In reality, they won't be giving away a billion points, and in case they did, they would keep giving the bonuses until the promotion ends.

Thank god today is the last day of this god-awful marketing campaign.

For future reference Virgin, *no-one* appreciates having to be redirected to an ad for a company marketing campaign instead of the site they're actually trying to get to or being forced to listen to a long drawn out advertising spiel (after already wasting time on the number menu) when all they want to do is get in touch with the guest centre (both of which happen *every time* no matter how many times you've heard it before).

If you're ever looking at a how to design a good marketing campaign in the future, just do the complete opposite of what you did this time.

It's terrible web practice to force a splash page on returning users. Any web team would've added a cookie script which would basically say: New user=Show splash page; Returning user=Go to regular homepage (This only works if users are using the same browser and device every time to access the site)

Coupled with the awful website itself, it seems Virgin is skimping on their web staff. (Either that, or some director insisted on the splash page being shown every time).
