Maximising SC Earn on Partner Flights

VOA for Aussies is the Visa on Arrival fee to Indonesia.
Stright transit does not have this, but to earn the most SC, best to have an unliked trip Aus -> Indonesia -> KUL -> ICN.
If I was interested in going to ICN with MH, doing the Aus to DPS, on QF or JQ with a bundle, then separate, would do for SC earn.
But if you feel its inaccurate, thats your prerogative.
160 QFF SC for DPS -> KUL -> ICN with MH J is a good earn rate.

Only the more expensive D, C and J Business fares credit at full Business rates - but these fares generally offer poor $/SC value.

Flying MH with a QFF, even in D, C or J full business fare, in QFF will still earn as fleyY on the QFF calculator, if you put in MH as operating airline, on Aus linked MH flights.

So, the way I understand this is - if it's linked with a QF flight (or is direct competition with a QF flight), the MH earn rate will be greatly reduced. However, if the MH flight is unlinked and doesn't involve an Australian airport (the example used being DPS-KUL-ICN), then it'll get treated as intra-Asia and therefore earn at a good rate (in this case 160 SCs for J (which, I agree, is pretty good)); have I understood this correctly?

Lastly, is it correct that JQ no longer flies their B787s to DPS (and use them on their longer flights now), which, in turn, means no JQ "business" to DPS?

That's like saying SYD-LHR in QF F has a "good earn rate" simply because you can earn a high number of SC.

You've neglected to factor the $ cost. DPS-KUL-ICN on MH becomes far less attractive once you see the cost of a J/C/D fare on MH.

This is why I suggested DPS-HKG-ICN on CX in post 35. QFF does not limit CX discount business fares in the same way it does to MH.

No. I've covered this already. The cheap (Z and I class) MH Business fares do not earn at Business rates, even on intra Asia flights.
