MAS A380 Livery

Looks fantastic. Without giving it away, massive colour change! Will the rest of the fleet be switched to the new livery or is it A380 only? Costly exercise to repaint everything with their current financial satus.

It was interesting to note the intended route for the third aircraft (assuming that it is delivered, etc); my assumption was LAX. Is there not enough traffic KUL-LAX, or is this just part of the gamesmanship between MH and QF at present?

"The first A380 will operate three-times weekly from Kualu Lumpur to London starting July 1, with the second aircraft doubling up on that same route from the end of August. The third aircraft will serve Kuala Lumpur-Sydney."

I read somewhere that the current fleet won't be repainted.

(And by current fleet, I mean the wide body fleet, as the narrow body regional fleet is going off on its own way.)

Wowzers! I'm most impressed. I think that it looks great.

Before seeing the image, I was expecting a larger version of the new MAS A330 paint job.

Well done MAS.

Interesting to note that there is no Y+ seating.

I like the paint job, but think they are digging their hole a bit deeper with the 380.

To me it seems logical. UK and Australia are two of their biggest most dependable markets for MAS. There are a large number of expat Malaysians in both countries. You also have a fair number of expat brits and aussies in Malaysia. Also a lot of Malaysian students go to Australian and British universities on government scholarships, a lot just for their last year but quite a few for 3 or 4 years. Then you have got tourists and business travelers to add to the mix. So they should have no trouble keeping A380s full on those routes.

While some of their other routes like LAX are a lot more seasonal. Is probably much better suited to a 777.

Looks great,

Giving them a very OW look

Could someone who is good with photoshop work some magic by putting the one world logo on the Malaysian A380? and while we are on the subject of the A380
does anyone know if BA are still getting their first one this year?
Cheers

Edited to add-Scrap that last question, just checked the A380 production list website, seems BA won't be getting their first till 2013,shame that,I want to see what an A380 looks like in the BA livery.

Wow, wow, wow! What a nice look!

And I very much like the idea of 1. MAS joining One World, 2. flying the A380 from Sydney to London and 3. most likely offering much better J fares than QF does
