I'm heading over to NZ for a wedding, and will spend a break between the bucks party / wedding in Marlborough. We are renting a private rental in Picton, but am trying to work out what vineyards are the best to visit during our stay.

I know that Cloudy Bay is a must for us as we love their whites, but what other vineyards have top notch wine? I recall having a Nautillus (spelling?) pino gris in Fiji a while back, but other than that - my experience of Marlborough whites has been disappointing (long gone are the days where the Marlborough wines were the best around).

Any suggestions? We prefer Chardonnay and Sav - if it's good.

:)

I haven't been to any vineyards in the region, but Seresin Sauv Blanc is really nice wine. They are just out of Blenheim.

I spent a week in Blenheim during february and loved the area.

Go to Cloudy Bay first and enjoy the tasting. They go all the way through to Te Koko. Don't forget to buy some to send home, including freight to our door was around $40 per bottle.

They have maps and details of all the local wineries and are more than happy to help out with planning.

Enjoy the trip.
