In 2014 I was organising an AFF event. Mark (@penegal) had started to get a reputation for being very unsure about whether he could make social occasions.
So I took the initiative to create a new classification, just for him - 'Copper - I won't know until the last minute as work may get in the way or I may have to fly to SIN or somewhere else for one reason or another or I just can't make up my mind'
This was in addition to the usual Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze.
The mod team met yesterday and decided that we would no longer use 'copper' as a designation, as it was specifically created for Mark.
As @Cruiser Elite has said above, this is out of respect for Mark and the indelible impression he has left on AFF.
Note that this is not a moderator direction, but we would encourage others to follow suit.
