No worries JohnK - shall do, especially if I'm there early.

If you have PP (e.g. Via Amex) then the LAS United Club lounge is airside in the same terminal that AA uses.

(Later this year or perhaps next UA are to move to another terminal, but for now it can be an option.)

Thanks Serfty,

Unfortunately - no PP for me so I'll have to slum it with the riff raff :)

moa999, any idea how much the PPass fee in KUL LCCT is? Sis is on that flight out after the F1 and might be interested... although she does think my AFF socialisation is 'a bit weird' Personally I think that's cos the only AFFer she has met is Nlagalle :D

It's a standard fee, check Airport Lounge Access Worldwide | Priority Pass and go through as if you were going to purchase a membership from 'Australia', should give the price. It's either USD$15 or 27 though I think.

drmiki,
Will PM you my details.

All the PPass guest fees are US$27.

Slightly cheaper than the RM118 (US$40) that Plaza is charging for buy your own way in.
Kuala Lumpur

Does have a shower though, which will be useful as I will probably check out of hotel in the morning, bus to LCCT, leave luggage in left baggage, then go to the track for the day.

In K1 grandstand at end of main straight with views over turns 1 and 2 as the track dips... Cant wait.

Seeing as I finally have reached Gold, thought I might join the club and put my travels down. Can guest 1 on most travel, just ask. :)

26/3 0930-1030 KIX JAL Sakura Lounge
30/3 1000-1100 CTS JAL Sakura Lounge

The Domestic Sakura lounges in KIX and CTS weren't that exciting. Quite small, drinks were available, but no food, other than rice snacks. The staff at the reception were polite, though informed me that boarding announcements in the lounge wouldn't be made in English. Seeing I was the only Westerner in the lounge, they came and got me when it was time. It was useful to charge my electronic goods etc. I've got some photos of both if you're interested. PM me.

Heading to the ski fields?

Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

The Sakura lounge seems like a bit of a disappointment. I did find it a bit odd that the lounge at Kansai domestic said it only had seating for 52 people, seemed a little low. Thanks for the tip though!

And yes, off to the ski fields for three days on the slopes, and then a week and a half touring some of the bigger cities on the mainland. Got to do all the touristy things first time, right?

Definitely feeling the influence of this site on my travel! 3 out of 4 flights on the trip are in J - 1,000 yen upgrades for the two JAL flights and upgraded the overnighter home on JQ to J for effectively $100.

My tradition for international flights from OOL usually involves hanging around the landside cafes for coffee and breakfast with whoever dropped me at the airport until about T-40 when I do the mad rush through immigration and generally get to skip the queue. It's a little bit selfish admittedly! But pay-per-play lounge access is always there if I need it. :)

First time platinum.

15/3 BNE-SYD QF533 dep 13:25
16/3 SYD-BNE QF506 dep 07:35

Can guest 2 pax into J lounge.
