Malaysia Airlines Lounges at KUL

The MH satellite Emerald lounge dining room now uses tablets on the tables instead of physical menus. Easy to use.

Presentation seems to have improved too.

As reported previously, there’s now an expanded area for dining in the main part of the lounge.

This is the breakfast nasi lemak:

Tablets must be quite new. Didn't have them in Feb. I have generally quite liked the place other than it being a freezer for temperatures.

The nap room at the back is also quite nice.

The main room has been freezing for years - unbearable at times - moved to the J lounge.

I'm flying MH J KUL-SIN late afternoon in a couple of weeks time and plan to visit the MH F Lounge.

I don't expect any problems (well, apart from the people mover to the Satellite terminal having issues).

We popped into the PP before going.to the MH domestic Golden
Pretty poky, no bar and lacklustre food made the price feel less reasonable
......and the seats are disgustingly stained and quite worn out. MH not spending much on this, the flagship and probably only MH domestic lounge in M'sia.

Wasn’t my experience last week, perfectly fine, and the lounges in places like Lgk are quite good.

Even if you are only flying to SIN in J, there's no problem visiting the MH lounge in the Satellite bldg. The icing on the cake is you don't have to worry about the airtrain. Just pop down for the Merc private transfer. Just remember when you're done & the Merc drops you back to the main T arrivals, go thru the door and do a swing U turn back up the escalator to departures.
Quite frankly though, if you are only going to the J lounge, the regional J lounge in the main T has almost the same food offering, a tended bar & barista pulled coffee like at the Satellite J..

Oh they must have finally shampooed them and/or replaced them in the last 4 months. I'm referring to the armchairs not the faux leather dining chairs. If you're on an evening flight, you won't notice them because of the lighting used but doing a day flight, I had to seek out a less stained one only to land hard on the seat because the padding is sunken.
LGK is not a Golden Lounge I recall. Aren't they using PP anymore and reopened their own lounge.? That will be good. I hope they do the same at PEN & BKI. The contract lounges at those airports are so woefully inadequate.

PP at LGK
I don’t think MH has any of their own lounges outside of KUL

So as I understand there no airside PP lounges in KUL IN TERMINAL 1.
We land in KUL from MEL and depart to Male apparently both from T1 so no options without changing terminal.
Am I correct?

Yeah I've looked at the pp website. Nothing airside. Just asking here if I'm missing anything.
Suggest you look again.

Thee airside lounges in T1 Intl - two in the Satellite. And Plaza Premium in the main pier which I suspect is where a MLE flight will depart from.

Albeit checking Flight radar, MH MLE flights operated from a mix of G/H gates and C gates.

At KUL, Terminal 1 is where full service airlines operate from. Terminal 2 is the low cost airline Terminal. They are 15 mins apart, not walkable.
Terminal 1 is made up of 2 buildings - airside only Satellite (long haul & most medium haul flights operate from here) and the Main Terminal (known as the Contact Pier) which has landside (all full service airlines check-in here) and airside (short haul & some medium haul flights operate from here).
In your case, since you're obviously not flying Air Asia if you know you're arriving/departing Terminal 1, your arrival (from MEL, long haul), transit & departure MLE, medium haul) will likely all take place within the airside only Satellite building which, as @moa999 has advised, houses 2 PP lounges.
If your MLE flight is from a gate with C before the gate #, you are departing from the Satellite building. If however the gate number has a G or H before it, then you will be departing from the Contact Pier (follow everyone to catch the aerotrain (near C1) between the 2 T1 buildings). As advised upthread, there is 1 PP lounge airside in the Contact Pier. Stay airside, don't follow everyone and rush down the escalators to the arrivals hall. Don't panic if you have rushed down the escalator and observed the immigration counters & E gates. Turn around, there will be 1 'up' escalator near by to rescue you. 😉
Hope this clears things up for you.
