Making bludgers pay to use the QP...

Should the QP have a pay as you go option similar to DJ or JQ?

Im not surprised at the result of the poll so far, but only 80 votes in total surprises me..

Wouldn't the middle option meet that requirement, except for WPs.

Paid if with a QP member, and most QP members can only enter if flying.

I mean flying solo QF/JQ and no other access - pay to enter.

I did not read it that way. It took it to mean that one simply needs to rock up to the QP, pay your dues and go for it - you did not have to be flying QF or JQ or TT or DJ or at all in the context of anytime.
 
FWIW, AA charge USD50 for such a pass (day pass - can be used at any A/C on the day - and you still have to purchase "coughtails")

Do you know if this is per person/per adult? We've got two long waits in LAX and SFO on the way to SEA and I was wondering if it was worth it for a family for four. I'm guessing it'll cost us $US100 if we are allowed in at all. We are flying SYD-LAX with QF and then on to SEA via SFO with Virgin America. Virgin don't have clubs we can use in those airports so I was looking at other options.

AA Guest pass - one-day access systemwide: $50 for the first guest, $25 each subsequent guest (up to 3 total).

I think you will hit a snag anyway of needing a boarding pass to access LAX T4 AA Admirals Club and SFO T3 AA Admirals Club.

There is a pay as you go lounge landside at TBIT if you are interested

I don't know how far the terminals are from your departing terminal but certainly worth some thought if you are prepared to spend the money....

It's per person (it was $75 for two until sometime in the past year).

In any case the point is moot in LAX as you won't have access to T4 and the A/C. Same for SFO and concourse E's A/C.
