Make sure you ask the Woolworth checkout person if your WW card has successly scanned

First time this happened.
In the past, when i put my WW supermarket to that small reader near the EFTPOS machine, its always worked, and my QFF # number has always successfully entered onto their system on paying for items.
It bleeped at me today, so I thought, all good, my Woolworths buy has gotten me some QFF points. ...
Went onto the bus, sat down, and looked at the Woolworths receipt, and saw the dreaded (You could have earned)...
But I did hear the bleep, and thought my number was on there.
Nope.
Moral of the thread, always ask if your Woolworths Rewards card has been transferred onto their system on this shop.
Its only $42 for me, but lesson learned... always ask if your "buy" has been registered and linked to your QFF #.

They can see. But I always just look for the logo to appear on the screen. Same with flybuys.

Apparently you can either call or take the receipt back and get the points manually credited.

Just happenned to me !
I scanned the bar code on my phone and heard a beep but was at a manned checkout and they asked me to scan again if I had a card.

I believe/(think) that Woolworths is one that does not do retro claims, at call centre or store.
FB now also, their call centre, is making it hard to make retro claims, if you call them, for non Coles shopping, for Coles, you can go back to the same store where you didn't scan the FB card, and they would happily scan it if you explain to them what happened.
EDIT: just read Woolworths Rewards website, you can call them, and have them manually add your Woolworths #, **BUT its as a once off!!!**
Some in my family are older, and "forgetful", so ask me to phone up, and twice, the call centre lady has been quite, how can I put it mildly, reticent in putting the points on manually.
My Coles is about a 10 min walk one way, so not close.

Just rang up the 1300101234, and they did ask the full gamut of id, no 2fa for speaking with a person, ((but they need 2fa by sending that 6 digit code to mobile though, if you try to log into your Woolworth Rewards account)), just in this case, name, date of birth, home address, po box, email, and phone number.
Some call centres will ask you to hold, while a 6 digit code is played by their system to you, and you have to repeat the same code to the csa who is serving you, with Woolworth Rewards, this is not applicable.
Needed store number, and pos checkout counter, trans #, time and date, and it was manually added on, you could have earned $xx.xx.
Next time, I will never again assume the points have been added on, so will always ask.
Will not use self checkout at Woolworth again, after today's malarkey.
On their website, it was not mentioned you can go back to the Woolworth store to have the points retro manually added on, the Coles one, you can go back that same store.

Even then it can be real PITA to retrocredit when a bonus promotion fails to properly trigger due to a failed scan.

I would be checking with the Woolies store. Coles allow you to return within seven days to (re) swipe the (flybuys) card.

Happened to me a few weeks ago. Lost some Google Play bonus points, but got 1/3 back when I called the rewards customer service.

I didn't activate that bonus, so it will be just the base points.
Because of the 2fa for going into my WWR account, I don't go into there that much these days, its a pain in the you know where, to have my mobile ready for the sms for that 6 digit code to be sent.
Just will keep going to WW stores, and just making sure to ask if my card has been recognised by their system will do from now on.
I don't drive, and my WW store is quite a distance, by bus its about 15 mins.
Thanks about the tip for going back to the store though, but with the blurb about "missing" points on their website, and how to remedy it, it does not look too promising.

Woolworths rewards have always been more strict about adding points at a later date. The in store staff were always telling customers that they could claim points over the phone and then the call centre staff were refusing to do it. I told off a couple of staff members about this years ago and when giving feedback to Woolworths I asked them to improve their training methods. Now that you can scan your own card, it's actually been more complicated. Occasionally you can scan the card, but if an item is being scanned at the same time the card scan might not work. Occasionally at the end of scanning the items the checkout operator might activate the payment side of the transaction before the card is registered properly. I always check the screen now but Woolworths keep changing where the card appears on the screen so it can be quite confusing. Good luck in the future.

Some coles stores are "franchises" and not real coles stores. Once some time ago when I noticed I didn't get the points because the card didn't register I asked for the points. Was told to the effect of "we can't do anything we are not a full coles store and we have already closed the transaction". So I said "OK, I am returning all these goods for a credit". Miraculously a supervisor came straight over, typed a few things into the terminal, and the the points were credited.

Lol I tried that at Woolies years ago and it worked. Just shows a lack of training and/or service

Just had this issue at the local BWS with a targeted spend for bonus offer. POS terminal you tap on showed Woolworths Rewards card added, receipt showed otherwise, be interesting to see how my phone call goes.

Grudgingly they will add points on the phone, but they will say its once off.
If phoning BWS is like phoning WWRewards.
