If the offer is two flexi - does family pooling count? ie. could mrsdoc and I take a flight together (therefore = two returns) or do i have to personally do both return flights?

If pooling counts, the day / weekend trip just got very very tempting....

I wouldn't assume that it does unless there's some evidence to presume so.

I missed it in the OPs post, but my offer is actually slightly different. I only need one return business flight.
"... we will maintain your Platinum membership for one more year if you book and fly one return Business Class flight, or two return Flexi Fares with Virgin Australia or one of our international airline partners between 15 July and 17 August 2012^"

Interesting.

+1. I have only flown one 10 status credit flight with DJ and received the above offer to maintain silver membership. I will just purchase lounge access a few days prior to expiry so as to avoid the hefty lounge membership fee. No other real benefit of maintaining silver for me.

I received the two return biz flights offer having only accrued 100 SCs this year. I will be in the LOTFAP mid August on a AA status run and could possibly fit a Delta status run into that to retain DJ Plat. I'm looking at SFO-LAX return at $350, so $700 all up. Not bad... And a lot cheaper than eligible booking codes from Virgin America for similar short biz/First runs. I'm still questioning the value of retaining DJ WP status though, since 95%+ of my flying is with OW and Star Alliance (via US DM awards). The only value that I can see for my cirumstances is the 4 complimentary upgrades which I value at about $1000 for A330 PER flights. Hmmm.. what to do...

I wonder if I’ll get one of those in November… not sure 50SC will make me jump.

Nothing for me, but I've requalified. They should make me an offer to go for Platinum

Me either. I requalified for Gold the hard way. My review date is 26 July and i have 400 SCs so my status shows as 'achieved' (am waiting on 40 SCs to be credited for a flight three weeks ago but that is proving to be a nightmare in itself) but i have never even receved the double SC email offers.
DJ doesn't love me...sniff.

I am not feeling the love either - did all these offers basically appear in everyones in-boxes at same time or are they a gradual roll out does anybody know?

My +1 received his offer - one return J or two flexies - late yesterday. He has minimal DJ SCs - most of them from my pooling, once I had requalified. (I received no offer but had achieved the requal level some time back. Them's the breaks! :))

Seems a lot arrived late yesterday - I was hoping to see on in my inbox this morn but alas wasn't to be.

Are they still arriving?

I have re-qualified for Plat following the status match, nothing for me.
Shrek has less than 100SC and no offer for him so far. He will probably have to be content with soft landing to Gold

Virgin - offer to keep Gold Status

Got an email from Virgin offering me to keep my Gold Status if I book two business return flights
Has anyone taken this offer andf if yes, did you find a cheap business class ticket? Thx!

I'll probably wait until others notice. But come 29 August I expect to well and truly have requalified, if not already. ;)

I'm curious... Have you been comped retention or a free bucket of SC's or something?

Nothing for me :( Requal'd my Gold and a few flights off Plat - a little leg up would definitely help

It is something related to one of the offers mentioned in this thread.

I only needed 40 SC's on top of existing bookings so requal is not a problem
