How about your credit card statement?
Not even …
Just shows life eftpos

Life eftpos is an issuer of eftpos machines to companies.

I have now emailed NSW taxi fare complaints . Maybe they can find the driver for me . They helped me with something else last time I got. Refund from a taxi company for overcharge .

These are old ones but:
- On my first RTW trip (personal) I didn't realise I needed a visa for Taiwan and got to the airport at HK and was denied boarding. Burst into tears thinking the entire carefully planned trip was ruined but Singapore Airlnes was fab and helped me to reorganise that leg. This was the moment I realised that travel plans can go awry and I've never worried again about delays etc.
- my boss's exec assistant booked him and his partner on a OS trip. Well she was supposed to but neglected to book his partner. They arrived at the airport to head out and no ticket for her. That EA didn't last long.
- A fellow working for me rang me to advise that he had booked the wrong city in US - Raleigh, but not Raleigh North Carolina - he arrived and realised he was in the wrong state - caused a bit of discreet hilarity because although he was a brilliant IT guy he was known for being disorganised.

I did something similar many years ago. Booked flights, accommodation, tours for boss's family trip to NYC. And ESTA's for wife and 4 children, but not boss - oops! I ended up working for him for 22 years though.

On the way to the airport we received a message that our plane had started boarding. The rain is heavy and it is a slow ride into the terminal.
Yes we missed that plane and ended up with middle seats in economy on the next flight.
Lesson learnt.

Did you book business

Yes we had booked an A320 which got subbed into a 737 which we missed. We got 2 seats in economy on the next 737 so had a wait of about 2 hours in the business class lounge in Perth.
4 hours in economy with two nice passengers either side of me. One was trying to buy a car on Grays auction and got outbid so he saved thousands.

A doozy

3 hours into my midnight flight from Singapore to Sydney, I “realised” that I had left my $3000 laptop on the security gate conveyor belt…..

Black conveyor belt
Black bag
Black laptop
Late
“Tired”

Wow
Dumbest travel mistake I’ve made in a while…

BUT - amazingly - it’s actually on its way back to me.
On the flight, a flight attendant sent a report to the airport, and I separately sent an email to the list and found office.
I’d given it up for dead, but 5-6 days later as I was getting into bed, I received an email from the airport staff saying my laptop had been found.
Come morning I started the process of getting it back.
Now - $185 later - it’s at the DHL facility in Sydney, passed customs, should be home on Monday.

Great lesson?
Lol

I did that a few years ago at MEL going to ADL on a Saturday for one night. I realised a few hours later, called up and the Supervisor met me after my return flight. Very impressed.
