Last Thursday I flew to CBR for an overnight work trip (not a DSC trip!).
I drove to the Value car park, at $24 it's cheaper and (usually) quicker than any other mode. I parked and took a photo of my bay. Walked to the nearest bus shelter and went to the QFd terminal.
Got to CBR, went to the office and then the hotel. On Friday did the training course and back to the airport. Advised that my flight QF1285 was delayed by an hour. We eventually boarded and the weather was foul. Took off and it was rough. Seat belt sign was on most of the way and no meal service.
No problems, landed safely, got my luggage and onto the Value car park bus. Got off at G shelter (where I'd boarded) and walked to the bay. I couldn't find H15. Eventually I looked at the photo and realised I was parked in H5.It still took me another 20 minutes to find the correct bay.
I actually spent an hour walking around the car park! I really can get lost between my front door and the footpath.
At least I got my exercise for the day.
Something similar many years ago went to Crown Casino for first time and parked in underground carpark. Usually my bearings pretty good. Came back a few hours later to the spot where I was convinced I parked. Yes correct row. Yes correct number of car slots down the row. It's not there. Am I going mad? Spoke to security officer and he said "are you on the correct level". Didn't realise there were two levels of parking.
