Thanks. I've called them and gone through to Chubb who said a 6 hour delay can receive up to a $200 payment for replacement clothes and toiletries. I assume that means the one outfit. It gets a bit more vague after that but I think they pay another $200 up to 48 hours. Then if it's lost for good I've got to claim with receipts or other evidence.Amex travel insurance should kick in for baggage delayed more than 6 hours. I'd call them, asap.
I think it will turn up but it will be too late for my purposes, that is, the walk, so I'm not sure how a claim goes then. I will be replacing everything now at my cost but could end up with two of everything.
