Well that in itself is a reason to go 8) . If I hadn't just returned from a trip to PER & ADL, I'd be coming down  ....

So why don't they hold such an event in a place where people actually want to go? Luxury Travel and Sydney are mutually exclusive :P .

As is clearly evidenced by their choice of venue. The Hordern Pavilion at Moore Park would hardly qualify as anything close to luxury.

'Tis a matter of contrast. This is a devious plan to make the "Luxury" exhibits seem even more luxurious after stepping inside the pavillion from the not so salubrious surrounds of Moore park.

Actually, since Fox took control of the Moore Park site it's been extensively rennovated and is now quite nice. Not at all like it used to be.

Yes - but surely those 'living' in Sydney are in the most desperate need of (and most compelled to) luxury travel?

Nahh, any means of transport out of the city will do. Train, b*s, dumpster, shopping trolley ... really doesn't matter.

And a show like this is never going to be held in a country town as small as Brisbane.

Brisbane people aren't as pretentious. They don't need something like this.

Sydney people need to be reminded occasionally that they aren't living in the luxury they think they are.

They have to. It's the only way we can afford to look after all the retirees they send up here as well.

You are singing from the same songsheet as the Perth rep who works for our company. He says WA is keeping the entire country afloat. :D
