I received a late invitation to the event this morning following what appears to be the result of a late cancellation.

Unfortunately, following no invite being received last week I have subsequently booked myself an afternoon of meetings that I am unable to change at such short notice so my place is now back in the hands of Red Roo.

Hopefully another Sydneysider can take advantage of this late opening.

Have fun everyone.

Currently in the QP at PER waiting for 568. Happy with the seats on both flights (not hoping for an opup tomorrow - low expectations right!), but it's fairly quiet compared to normal.

See you all bright and early!

Well it's bright and early on L-Day. Now the ADL, MEL and BNE contingent start to rise and head to the airport for their flights to converge on SYD.

Enjoy your experience and say hi to Red Roo for me ;)

Why would someone from Melbourne waste their day on this? Qantas is clearly not interested in Melbourne customers or their opinions.

This event in general strikes me as totally disingenuous and another waste of shareholder money for nothing.

As opposed to Perth and Adelaide customers. All of whom are also attending Lunch today. Maybe this is our chance to ask these type of questions.

It's a good start. No rain in Mel today (so far).
I need to get out of here before it arrives.

Indeed but there are twice as many people in Melbourne as PER/ADL combined and within a decade MEL will be Australia's biggest city, growth rate is far higher than Sydney.

Unless they arrived last night. ;)

Had a wonderful sleep. It is great to be home.

I'm just back at the Sofitel after attending to something else. I'm going to check out at 1100 and mill around in the lobby for a bit after that so see you and the other overnighters there?

I just received an SMS saying QF571 to PER is now departing at 1920.
