Lifetime Silver is good but your ultimate goal is Lifetime Gold and then Lifetime Platinum when introduced. ;)

I'm not so sure about LTS being any good. It's better than a poke in the eye w' a burnt stick, but not much more.

First of all have you seen those economy queues at the airport?

Secondly you get seat selection which may not be much but better than paying $20 for the privilege or getting the dregs on domestic flights.

Thirdly there is 50% status bonus on international flights which is only 50% less than Platinum.

Fourthly there is a once a year complimentary Qantas club invite which is potentially worth $40-$50.

I think that is good. Not perfect but better than nothing....

Plus it's LT OWR, so depending on where you travel, that can get you OW elite status - security, baggage and other privileges which may be of *value*.

For those here who are LTS and have been at a level higher than PS, did you still get the annual QP single invite voucher for those years you were SG or above?

I had a look at Silver benefits and although it doesn't explicitly say you will get a complimentary QC invite per year it pretty much implies it. Dr FM is lifetime QC and silver and she still gets her free invite each year, even though she doesn't need it,so it seems a bit of an anomaly to me that those of us who have LTS and a status that included QC membership should not get one.... I was SG prior to getting LTS and pretty much got LTS and WP from the same trip. Just got the letter and nothing else. It would be good to get clarification on whether someone who only has LTS gets an annual free invite and also whether LTS + WP/SG gets one. I suspect not!

I have not received a complimentary invitation since reaching Lifetime Silver as I was, and still am, Platinum at the time.

And the other things. It is definitely a positive to have PS/OWR status for life, even if I never take another flight.

Granted, it doesn't include lounge access, which is the main reason I started this game after too many hours in the LAX T4 hellhole waiting for midnight flights, but it is better than nothing.

And a step on the way to LTG, which is a plus in anybody's eyes.

I've just spent a year as NB. Trust me, the PS benefits, slender as they might seem to most of us regular posters, are appreciated.

A late congrats to you!

I know you've since clarified that you hit the magic number before you had all the tilde's thus the reason for receiving the card despite now being WP, but am hoping when I hit the number I can convince them to print me a card, just because :p I'd probably use it instead of my WP card, after all, the right status will show on the BP :)

Thanks!

And yes, it's cool to see "LIFETIME SILVER" where the expiry date would normally be. There's a lot of travel behind that.

And more to come!

+1 from me on those comments, especially moving up from NB to PS for the first time - the differences were very noticable for me and very much appreciated.
