Loyalty bonus quandary, what do you do?

Agreed. Typically have more points than I can use.

Typically value 8k points at $160 and 50SCs at $350

Much easier to generate points at short notice than status credits.

I'd take the SCs. I want to get to LTG as soon as I can and every SC helps.

SCs for me too. LTG is my target and I'll be there in 4 years at current rate, I'll get 600SCs extra this way in 4 years so probably reduces my time to LTG by about 4-6 months.

Points are easy to come by, and 50SCs is worth way more than 8000 points to me.

Easy, I made WP and 2 LB in the first two months of my year this year thanks to the thre DSC offer and a well timed work trip to New York. Took the 8000 points twice as my balance is looking low after booking on points to Europe for July.

I'm only just halfway to LTS, I only moved to Oz a few years back and have been WP since my first year with QF, so extra SCs have little value. Who knows if I'll be here long enough to get LTG.

I also went Points. Not going to improve in Status Tier within current year. LTG seems eons away.

Like others, I would also take the bonus SCs as it helps me get closer to LTS/LTG. My loyalty bonus should come sometime in July/August and I don't have the luxury of banking it until my next membership year (which starts in December).

Well this year, I'll be taking the SCs. By the time my year is out, they'll be just enough to tip me into another year of WP and LTG as well.

For now at least I can easily get points from sign up bonuses and my points balance is healthy.

I don't expect to be able to maintain WP indefinitely so if I can lock in LTS or get close to it before my flying drops off I'll be pleased. It would provide a good platform to build towards LTG.
