Have two guests so would be grateful if someone could guest my second guest for me. Will try to get to check in about 3 hours before the flight.
 
5/07/2017 JQ 746 LTN to SYD. I am Q club member and normally can fit in my fellow travellers. My mum will meet us in Sydney at QClub so we can all travel to MCY. I can guest her in as a Qclubber myself and I can bring in my kid. That is the easy part.
We also happen to be travelling with another family which is where I need some assistance (2 adults and 2 children ). I can take in another kid but I'm wondering if some other lovely fellow travellers can assist with guesting in the others?
If no one on this forum can help then is it kosher to stand at a discreet distance from the entrance and ask some solo travellers to guest in my extras?
Alternatively do I take some in , go out for 1/2 hour and bring in the other lot? I guess to play by the rules I would have to turf out group no1. before ushering group no.2. We could then play turn and turn around till the MCY flight leaves at 1400 (JQ 790).
Suggestions are welcome.

Go to gumtree and buy some Qantas club lounge passes. They can normally be picked up for $40 or so. Not Kosher in my book to solicit others to let you into the lounge.

Your book, not Kosher - the whole thread is about meeting, offering and coordinating access between AFF members :confused:
And not just QF lounges.......

In my book, I enjoy providing access to other members

Soliciting for lounge passes is against AFF Terms of Service. Besides, some members give them away in the Free to a good home thread.

This thread is about meeting other members. For example, I will occasionally meet other members in a lounge and we will have both been there on our own merits.

I've also guested people on occasions and like Steady I see it as a good way to meet new AFF members.

It is definitely "uncool" to lurk in the entrance area with the aim of soliciting an entry.
That said , I know it happens. Definitely frowned upon in AFF circles (by most of us anyway).
The big issue here is not that a fellow AFF'er is looking for a guest entity, but that unknown friends are looking. There was a thread about this some time ago, and a number of AFF'ers who did guest "strangers" into the lounge were let down by the behavior of those guests, causing themselves deep embarrassment. The upshot was that the poor behaviour of those guests ruins it for others as the AFF'er offering a spot was too gun shy to do it again.

In J lounge from about 9.30 - 10.00.
Can guest 2

Lounge arrival times depend on traffic conditions :)

Ahh i I should have expanded. This thread is about helping a fellow ffer out in regards to lounges. I certainly don't agree to soliciting at lounge entrances.

Ok. That make sense now. I though you were objecting to the thread and the concept as a whole. Glad we cleared that up.

I don't think its kosher to buy passes from gumtree.

My outbound flight on Mon 3rd has morphed to Sunday 2nd @ 4pm. Inbound remains unchanged. See you in SYD, GPH
