I'm heading to Paris via KL on my honeymoon. I'm having trouble finding lounges at these airports. I am QF Platnium.

Any hints or tips would be great on whether they are CX lounges or MH. I am flying MH in Y. What are the chances of getting comped being WP and being on my honeymoon.

Cheers

KLIA is MH's hub. The CX lounge there is 'quaint' similar to the QF BKK J lounge. The MH facilities are much better, though to be fair I haven't been since they have joined oneworld.

At CDG there is no Golden Lounge unfortunately, because their lounge in LHR is quite good. They use a contract lounge, Salon Icare. Other oneworld carriers use terminal 2, MH use T1.

In KUL you have choice between Golden lounge (Business and First) in Sattelite terminal or the regional Golden Lounge in the main terminal. My preference is for the Business Golden lounge in Sattelite terminal.

There is also the CX lounge in the Sattelite terminal which is OK but not as good as the Golden lounge in the Sattelite terminal.

If you generally have good luck with op-ups on any airline then you may have a chance with MH.

The MH lounge in KUL is the place to go. As a WP, you'll have access to the first class side. MH does not have their own lounge at CDG. They use a shared lounge called the Icare Lounge. It's not particularly good but it's ok. It's small and comfortable enough but the food/beverage offering is really bad.
As for being upgraded (comped), don't hold your breath. MH are pretty stingy in that department, especially on their international flights.

Ended up in the Platinum Golden lounge. I thought it was pretty good. We ordered from the sit down menu. Wish I'd used the shower suites as it's been 24 hours since my last shower. Grabbing one now. Got a customer service greeting on the KLA to CDG leg. Which was good.
