LOL that made me giggle.. well at least you know now.

The somewhat amusing part is that I had complementary breakfast options at three places, however it it wasn't for Tribs kiosk, I would have starved! (well maybe that's an exaggeration)

To make my 7:10 flight from an int terminal, I left CNS Hilton at 5am......before breakfast opens. The illustrious CNS Reef lounge had an offering of coffee, styrene noodles, biscuits or a few slices of bread with those little hotel vegemites and peanut butter :( and then JQ had the grand offering of chips, popcorn or lollies.........

Makes VA's boring old salad bar look positively delightful.......and that takes a bit of doing!

Apologies for bringing up old thread but simple question not worthy of own thread.

Does a Platinum have arrivals access after a JQ flight?

Does a Platinum have arrivals access after a JQ light?

After a JQ flight
Access Domestic Business Lounges or the Qantas Club upon arrival if you have travelled that day on any flight that shows a Qantas, Jetstar Airline or a oneworld[SUP][SUP]®[/SUP][/SUP] flight number on your ticket. You may also bring two guests, who do not need to be travelling.

Yes the CNS CX lounge owned by QF long ago is still very drab and uninviting, better to use the Qantas domestic IMO if last QF flight not departed.

Going from CNS to DPS there is no J and the late departure means no QF domestic lounge access either for those with access rights.

Can anybody advise, if they have tried to get into the Narita ( Tokyo ) QANTAS Business Lounge, with a JQ flight number ?

I can see on the QC lounge info page, that it states, "must have QANTAS flight number" ...

Is that strictly enforced ?

( I'm a QC Life Member, but travelling on Jetstar economy )

Didn't get there ...

I think reason being, is that QC was in Terminal 2, and all JQ flights leave from Terminal 3.

Hi all,

Sorry to revive this thread but had a lounge question that I didn't think needed its own thread. SWMBO and I are flying to Singapore next week. I'm gold status on a QF flight flying Y and she's on a JQ flight flying Y as well (flights depart within about 15 mins of each other). Can I guest here into the Intl business lounge in Melbourne?

From what I've read this should* be OK but just thought you folks would know the definitive answer. Thanks

Well, the official rules state that your guest must be travelling with you on the same flight, but it can't hurt to ask nicely at the lounge.

Ah OK - Bugger must have missed that part. Thanks for the link and info. Will ask extremely nicely :) SWMBO was already unhappy about the split flights (I am trying to re-qualify for gold) but took comfort that'd we'd both be in the lounge :/

Just upgrade her to business max, and everything will be fine. Brownie points galore :)

Was able to get the wife into the lounge. The lady at the desk did point out we both had to be on the same flight but would "allow" it this time :)

Thanks for the info and the tip - Making a 2 hour wait for the flight much more enjoyable!

Good outcome. Lucky this time. Doesn't work in Singapore (not that it mattered so much as my partner only had 25 mins or so, I had 2+hrs ...)

Hmmm good to know as I was planning on doing this in the way home. Oh well Changi is not the worst place in the world to be waiting for a flight.

Still worth trying. You never know when you'll succeed.

Well I guess we're lucky. Got the wife into the qf lounge in Singapore

Also so given the talk about needing to be on the same flight which I will remember for next time.

Well done.

Sometimes they can be strict on same flight rule.
