Is the International partner lounge (operated by Air New Zealand) in Wellington open for passengers on SQ248 (WLG > MEL) departing at 1345?

On the SQ website the hours of operation for the lounge are between 1930hrs - 2130hrs (UTC +13) 1830hrs - 2030hrs (UTC +12) which appears not be open for any SQ flights..

Could this just be outdated information? I can't find any other hours of operation on NZ website.

I believe the lounge should be open when SQ248 departs. They always used to open it for SQ292 (when SQ flew WLG-CBR) even though there were no NZ flights departing at the same time.

That said, note that you need to be in J or have Star Alliance status to get entry. There is no access for Velocity Gold/Platinum members.

Yes it is open for the 13:45 departure to MEL on SQ. I have used it twice this past month. But I was flying J (my only means of access at the time).

Both times pax on the SQ flights were the only people in the lounge - at least my assumption as I was the 2nd person in on my first visit, and both times the place emptied and I was nearly last one out three to four minutes after boarding was called.

Note immigration only opens about 1.5-2 hours prior to departure. If you checked in earlier and eligible to use the lounge, then go to the NZ regional lounge (located upstairs at the southern end of the main part of the terminal before reaching security or southwest pier).

Are both regional and international lounges in the same airside area but you have to move through immigration to get to international?

Sorry I haven’t been to the regional lounge. But the international one you have to go through security, then immigration to get to. Kind of doesn’t matter if the regional lounge is pre or post security.

The regional lounge is not airside. It is in the main departures concourse, up a flight of stairs. Before all security.

Yes. There is also a lift option.
The lift isn't well signed. I've seen people struggling on the stairs, not knowing there was a lift (albeit some distance away, as far as I recall).
