Just wondering how they actually define "One guest allowed and must be travelling with the member." If 2 pax are on different flights and/or routings, but have the same destination and will arrive within hours of each other, can this still be defined as "travelling with the member"?

I think it means you must be travelling on the same itinerary as each other.

No you don't have to be on the same itinerary, just on the same flight number..

What I meant was same flight, same destination. I was going to say same booking, but that didn't sound right.

So in a couple of months I on QF1 to SIN then QF5 to FRA, friend is on QF1 as well on the way to LHR but he's not yet WP. I have been able to get us seats 11AB together but am now wondering about the Flounge...
I have previously been able to guest in on the way to NAN and guest was flying to LHR but maybe that was just luck

Maybe I have been lucky, but last 2 years on way back from skiing through LAX, my buddy has been going direct to Bne on QF16, but I have been going via Syd so I can ride the A380 (in the PE exit row). He is not a member, but I have had no trouble getting us both in to the T4 lounge. QF12leaves earlier, and it has meant that he stays in there up to an hour after I have left to get over to TBIT. Obviously no one is going to bother searching for him after I have gone. But no questions were asked at the desk.

FWIW I have guested one person into the MEL QP flying J* (I was on QF) to a different location and they did not say anything.
International may be a different story...

Domestic you can have one guest who doesn't need to be travelling with you. International the are meant to be travelling with you.

My sister and I are travelling through SIN in a couple of months and we will be arriving on the same CX flight from BKK but I will be leave on a flight to SYD and she will be flying to PER we leave within 20mins of one another but are not on the same itinerary because of separate final destination. I am SG but she is only NB am I likely to have trouble guesting her into the QP in SIN? We have about 4hrs in SIN and as we live in separate cities it would be nice to spend our last few hours together relaxing in the lounge not that SIN is the worst airport to have to entertain yourself in. We have the same surname if that is likely to help our case.

You may indeed have been lucky or it may have been due to the T4 lounge not strictly being a QP (i.e. jointly operated by QF/AA). In any case,a good outcome for you and your buddy.

I was thinking the same thing but then I started thinking my BP will say SIN and his will say LHR... SIN will be a different story I guess, will have to give it a go there as well, our end destination is the same and we were on the same flight before...
