Interesting, very interesting. They've had some darn good specials lately. I need more annual leave! (and well, more $$ so mr k_sheep doesn't keep guilting me about paying the mortgage off as quickly as possible :p )

When they say "Australia" they really mean East Coast Australia.
Pardon me for my bitterness, I'm still hurting from losing our SIN & HKG flights.

I second that! There is so much untapped potential from PER, SQ, MH and CX are licking their lips.

think they must be loading sale fares for ex-HKG too also as the splash sale on the front page is showing double the usual prices!

Thanks for early alert, London for Xmas is looking good with bonus of into Gatwick with Emirates, and I've not been to Dubai might see if I can get a stopover happening.

Just booked Y+ to UK for $5,000 less than it was yesterday

Good things come to those who wait :)

$5000.00 more than it is today :D :D :D

Ha ha thats the obvious answer.

QF were $14,8xx for Y+, BA were about $8,xx_ in Y+ and $14,xx_ in J (both with 15% BUPA/Corp discount) and were my next option. I don't lurv QF that much to sheckle out 5 big ones just to use the Pub. However, 9 big ones is fine and now quite happy with the deal. I get lounge access all the way and all flights booked on 1 ticket so no stress about connections.

$15,000 pp for premium economy or was that for 2 people?!?

Was this arriving Christmas Eve or something?!

No, early August out, late August return. 2 peeps, regular Y+.
Typical Quantas excessive pricing is all. I preference QF at all times but next year this will change (QF pub membership expires) especially as BA are really sharpening their pencil and with the Corporate discounts of 15% on offer they are very attractive. I was seriously considering J with BA in a 777 which would have been less than QF Y+, and still gave me lounge access. Plus more status getting me to Gold :)
The Emirates deal to me is naff, as a Y+ regualr I get chucked into cattle class if I can't get QF1. Absolutely no incentive to fly the new partnership if it aint a QF jet all the way.

Perhaps I am missing somehting but for $14k you could get QF J at the moment for 2 people
