I've got a booking which I changed over the phone a couple of weeks ago and on MMB it's showing "Booking still processing" whenever I hover over Change/Cancel/Check-in options. I'm pretty sure this means it hasn't been ticketed yet. Am I best to follow up with QF and get them to ticket it? If I left it would there be issues when I went to check-in at the airport and it still hadn't been ticketed?

I would follow up with QF. They can tend to go into a manual queue and perhaps not get looked at until it's closer to departure.. or it may even be something very simple the res agent can fix on the spot. Either way if it's been a few weeks and you're concerned about the upcoming travel giving them a call is not at all unreasonable :)

Thanks. I might have to...and then they'll realise they haven't charged my change fee and fare difference!

Change fee and fare difference will go through once it tickets I think.

Have the same thing with an award ticket 'stuck' in the queue (departure not until March), having been changed a couple of weeks ago.
I have called and they said they will 'push it through' and I'll be ticketed within 24 hrs...still waiting...but can't afford the 90mins on hold to speak with someone,so will just be patient.
Am due a reasonable refund in 'carrier charges' as have changed from QF to CX flights, but will have to wait for that until they process the ticket as well...

Res seem to really push back (the few times with me anyway) on this kind of thing if the departure is some time off... their reasons are that the manual queue is busy and they want to have priority to closer in departures - which is perfectly reasonable - but gee QF if your backend systems worked better these glitches throwing PNR's at the manual queue would be far less (vouchers seem to cause this all the time as one example I have some experience with).

I got a bit sick of the push back from res on one particular thing (calling every few weeks) that I just emailed P1 and they sorted it. shouldn't have to do this though.

It is definitely a weird back-end thing as this is the second booking this year where this has happened (although the first one I didn't know until a QF agent picked it up and pushed it through). But haven't had issues with delayed ticketing with other airlines for years - even with complex itineraries. Odd.

I had this initially with bookings something about having an NZ credit card but haven't had this problem since the initial bookings. I think it had to be manually processed but I would call and get it pushed through. If I can't see a ticket that makes me nervous and I don't like being nervous as it can create dramas and I hate unnecessary drama.

I made a booking yesterday using a gift voucher. Had $101 left on the voucher and booked a flight that cost $95. Several hours later the ticket still hadn't been issued, nor had I received a new voucher for the leftover $6. Called up and after half an hour they managed to get the flight ticketed. Promised to also issue a new voucher for the $6 - 24 hours later and still haven't received anything. Sigh. I'd call again but don't have time to wait for ages just to speak to someone agin.

Sadly not surprised. voucher bookings let alone those then made with residual vouchers are notorious for being "problem children" - it's quite annoying.

There's also the fun fact that every single residual voucher booking I've made online then can't be changed online, even if one has booked a fully flex fare with the voucher. again, some sort of glitch with how the PNR's are generated by the voucher system I presume but it's sure a PITA.

Have experienced similar problem with the issuance of the residual value voucher. Used a gift voucher to make a new booking on and it was ticketed within an hour, however, I haven't seen the new voucher for residual value yet.

Just made a residual voucher booking tonight for a flight on Friday - it's been quite a few hours and no sign of ticketing as yet. We'll see...

It is such a weird system that QF has sitting a booking for long periods of time on a queue 'for processing'. Functionally, the person who priced the ticket or change knew everything they needed to do to issue the ticket - it is just one extra command to convert the change to a ticket. So it's strange that they don't do it there and then!

Sent a message to the Social Media Team on Facebook and they promptly "fixed" my lack of residual voucher...

(Obviously the problem here is that QF doesn't operate 747SRs, right?)

I had a similar issue... I'm in Bangkok and had the flights changed through the call centre and the agent was in NZ... A couple of weeks later it still hadn't ticketed and I called the BKK office, they told me they couldn't ticket as there was a problem and for them to do so would be 'breaking the rules'... So I called 131313 again and they told be not to worry, my ticket was in a manual queue and they were still ticketing for flights in May (mine was in June). A month later, still nothing so I sat in the 131313 queue for an hour before I gave up (calling on Skype from BKK so not a free call)... I called Bangkok office again and they gave me the same story, but then resent a new ticket immediately and it had a 31 May issue date on it... I'm still confused... The ticket also had NVB and NVA dates that reflected the original ticket but again they told me not to worry...

(wow ... did not realise that I was such a long time stalker...)

A call to QF always gets my unticketed bookings to move. Never had any pushback no matter how far out the flight was.

most recent experience was for an international flight next week but booked about 3 months ago. Had an involuntary move 1 month ago as the flight I wanted to take was cancelled. Just noticed 3 days ago that it hasn't ticketed. Call to the premium line (answered within 30 seconds) and 2 minutes on the line and it was fixed. Involuntary moves may also be a problem child booking?

I had reason to call VA yesterday for an award booking. Answered quickly, got all the details and then the consultants said "ok, I have everything I need now, I'll just finish this off and the ticket will be in your inbox in the next 5 mins." Sure enough, it was there in about 3mins. Whole process from picking up the phone to e-ticket in the inbox easily less than 10mins. Why do QF need to make it so hard?!

Called QF today and got an excellent Premium Res agent who said that over the past 3 weeks or so, "changes to bookings such as yours" have caused ticketing issues and it's a known fault they were trying to work through. She didn't explain anything further. But told me it was a 9min wait for the ticketing desk but to leave it with her and she'd email me a new ticket when it had been done in the next few hours. Will wait and see...

My residual voucher currently looks exactly like that. The problem is that it's completely unusable. When I type the PNR into the "redeem voucher" page, it just brings up a manage my booking page for a fictitious flight like the one in your screenshot. It won't let me actually use the voucher...

I previously had the exact same issue. A phone call fixes everything. Mind you, a very long phone call

To be fair the vast number of bookings, awards and vouchers ticket as expected at QF. Sure, the voucher system specially is a hopeless kludge, but award bookings, revenue bookings and the like are usually spot on - at least in hundreds of flights of my experience :)
