Long transit in KUL; bags checked through?

I’ve got a long connection coming up in KUL (23 hrs and 30 mins). I’m heading into town for the night but don’t really want to carry my bags in with me. Routing is SYD-MEL-KUL-DEL. Does anyone know if Qantas are going to be able to check bags right through to my final destination?
