Long stopover in DOH - tips for hotels

DOH has always been quick and easy for us and generally find that we are outside the terminal on arrival fairly briskly. The seperate arrivals lounge you speak of still exists and we tried it once out of curiosity because the Al Maha service is a free perk of QRPC Golds and Plats. It was a nice process but honestly don’t reckon we saved any time.
For departures we have only ever used the QR First and Business desks to the right on entry and they have there own seperate security and immigration right near the kerb. I think on average from kerb to Al Safwa lounge we take 10-15 minutes absolute tops. Haven’t ever checked in at the normal counters so can’t vouch for their speed or how long it takes to get through security

Keen to get some opinions on how to handle the hotel situation for this First award booking I have next year with a 21hr transit. I can go down the paid Qatar hotel route (which I've been offered USD $100 per person) but would prefer to choose and book my own hotel which will have the Virtuoso perks.

4.35am would be too early to check in and 1.50am is too long for a late check-out. Wondering if there's any other alternative than booking 2 nights.

Contact the hotel direct and see what they can offer. Some might offer to help especially if you have decent status.
Otherwise the paid hotel route may the best option

She is a bit scared travelling alone and is currently insisting that she doesn't want to leave the airport so wants to book the transit hotel
I would let her have the transit hotel if that’s what she is more comfortable with. But that’s just me.

Any tips to ensure that I can get through immigration ASAP and an easy departure upon returning to the airport? I recall reading that there is a premium arrival section with their own dedicated immigration offers for QR? Does that still exist?
If you are arriving in J or F then on QR then you can use the premium arrival section.

It is all the way to the left of the main areas.

Looking at a 8hr stopover in Qatar. Arrive 11pm depart next day 7am.

Would be J Saver award. So not eligible for transit hotel.

Is it best just to stay in J lounge for shower. Nap in private room etc

Or any other cheap short hotels available? Although would obviously be quite short stay....

Few hotels close by that are <$100 AUD depending on dates. I'm not sure if you value peace and quiet of a hotel room vs a lounge.
