Wouldn't have been what? Quicker? Cheaper? More efficient? Not a sarcastic question. I'll need to do the same ride from T5 in a couple of months so looking for alternatives.

I've used Blackberry Cars several times to/from LHR and very happy with the service.

Quicker - often takes a few cancelled rides before you get on your way

Minicabs will tend to be cheaper too, but depends on where you're going. The good thing is they're fixed price. The best way I find is to search for a minicab company that is based where you are staying and then find a firm, ring/email and book them. Some have apps now, too.
