I have a friend who is flying in from Toronto on Air Canada late December and is looking to then fly to Edinburgh to meet me so we can tour through Scotland. Her Air Canada flight arrives in T3 and it looks like the BMI/BA flights to EDI depart from T5. How would she get from T3-T5 and how much time should she allow?

BD flights actually leave from T1 in LHR, is it going to be on a through ticket or will she have to go and collect luggage and recheck? The MCT for AC to BD on a through ticket is 1h30 mins but would allow for a bit extra if she likes to have her luggage in Scotland ;)

If she connects onto BA that will be in T5 and the MCT for AC to BA is 1h30m as well but same luggage story here.

Mille

PS As AC arrives in T3 she can walk through the underpass to T1 and no need to wait for the terminal bus

They're separate tickets, I wonder though if AC will interline with BD though? Thanks for the info guys, will pass on to her.

They certainly will as they are both Star Alliance members. If possible try to get the two tickets in the same PNR or advise AC and BD of the connections and ask for information segments (not remarks) to be inserted in the PNR.
