I decided to pull the trigger on a Mycard card - the black one with Qantas. $750 annual fee.

On the website, I had to enter ID details. I entered my details correctly but it said they couldn't verify me. I tried twice more. Then it said they couldn't proceed with my application because I had failed the ID verification. I am locked out from applying - seemingly for ever. When I phoned the customer support number they just said it was a known issue with no work around.

Sadface.

I've read many instances of this. Apparently the (much longer) manual verification option is a better option. I'm going to give it a go and I'll report back.

I have also just tried this application, and suffered the same. Contacted mycard who are stating 'they will forward to the relevant team and to try again in 24/48 hours'....
Did you have any luck with this, or manage a manual verification? The online agent stated it's online verification only.
