... CMT and QF website both show the new class (Z) and the points are gone. Anyone else experienced an upgrade request for international coming through so early? ...
Jenny and I had one confirmed at least 30 hours before a flight NRT-SYD in April.
Here's an update for you all. 48 hours before the flight, QF has confirmed my request for a PE upgrade...I wonder how they would deal with a cancellation request which I can give up to 24 hours before the flight??...
I guess the following rule kicks in:
16.3.9 If a Member:
(a) cancels a Flight Upgrade after it has been awarded; ...
then the Flight Upgrade will be forfeited, along with any Points used to redeem that Flight Upgrade.

16.3.10 A Member may cancel a request for a Flight Upgrade at any time prior to the time at which Qantas awards the Flight Upgrade without penalty.
I guess your upgrades have been Awarded ...

Looking at the seat map for Y+, ISTR yesterday there were only two of the 14 seats preallocated, now there are seven. (Still very light in J with 13 of 42 seats allocated)

Good point about the T&Cs. In any event, don't think I'd want to cancel them anyway, looking forward to my sleep - this holiday can't come soon enough.

As far as the pre-allocation goes, PE has been showing 5 seats allocated for quite some time (i'd been looking quite a bit!) - 23D,E,F and 24B,J. So I'd say we are the only new additions. With that said, our allocations didn't appear until I went into manage my booking, and selected a seating preference (window/aisle) which was all it would let me do. Once the system allocated us, I could then view the map...but I can't change to another seat as they all show as occupied. So I am guessing that if other's have requested upgrades and they have not logged in to request seats, then the cabin will still show more empty seats than there are.
