Little things I like

When deleting spam on my Mac laptop in outlook.
I click on the first spam email (which is in my junk folder) then hold shift and click on the last spam email. then press control and click on any of the spam emails, a window pops up halfway down is an arrow for block sender click on this and emails gone.

Finally Apple has seen the light. When selecting a city to change the time zone, they have finally included ‘recently used’. Saves typing in the same few cities over and again.
Can't you set it so it automatically detects the time zone

Yes, but sometimes you need to force it ie while inflight.

I have 10-15 representative cities set as favourites in the D&T app for different time zones that are there all the time in the “World” tab. Eg NYC which is representative of any east coast USA city and LA for west coast etc.

Little things I like: after a long weekend in Sydney, swung by Goulburn on the way back to Canberra for lunch at the Hibernian. $20 beef schitty that's their weekly specials but yep, still available on a Monday public holiday. Oh, and large glass of decent red for a tenner to go with it.

Dreaded assumed disaster did not occur.

Have a hire car for a week or two. Popped down to the public swimming pool 3km away. Stowed my possessions and entered the pool, walked through the water to the other end where I do my exercises and sensed something wasn’t right.

Felt in the bathers pocket and there is the fob for the rental car that had become detached from my other keys. 😳

Quickly jumped out of the pool and dried fob on my towel. After the session an hour later walked to the car fully expecting having to call RACQ and fork out an arm and a leg for a new fob.

But no! Car opened and I drove home. Been out and about all day yesterday and today and continuing to work fine. 🤗

Phew - LTIK.
Don't all fobs have a hidden key?

Finding the right way to beat the healthy folks who use disability parking spaces. Today I went to the furthest part of the car park and parked next to the trolley bay. Then used a trolley to Woolies and back.
No need to get my walker out and did 2000 steps.

That I wasn't imagining things lol
This is a old time wimey C drama
Lol that is a lovely silver car in the background .

Don't all fobs have a hidden key?

Yes there is an emergency metal key but I need to return the car with a manufacturer original working fob programmed for the car. If electronics were cactus, replacement costs allegedly are $300-450.

replacement costs allegedly are $300-450.
My Toyota keyless fob replacement cost me nearly $900.
$600ish for the fob, then $200ish for the programming and can only be done in the presence of the remaining fob and $25 for the emergency key

If both fobs are lost then the dashboard needs to removed and the computer replaced as it is impossible in a Toyota to program replacement key without 1 key.

Changed to Tesla where the key costs $63 for pack of 2. Looks like a credit card but is an RFID card. Waterproof

If you lose it just delete it from the list of approved card and replace with another one
With that key, you can allow your phone to be a key and. You can allow others to be a driver and unlock the car with their phone. No need to give keys to anyone.
