Got a new job 2 years ago because they offered a 4-day work week, and it has greatly improved my life in so many ways. One of the LTIL is that I have to work on my day off to fill in for someone, which will give me a 4-day weekend the following week. So I booked a No Reason weekend at the Gold Coast with J flights, 5 star accommodation, and car hire, for $150 and a bunch of points.

LTIL - getting an e-mail from Telstra saying I had some business rewards points expiring in 6 months. I was completely oblivious to the accumulation - found I had enough to get a new Apple Watch 9 for 1/4 the cash cost, delivery included. Done. (I know a 10 is coming out soon-ish, but I never wait/go for the latest tech model. My current watch is the 6 series ...)

PayPal. I use them a lot especially where companies don't accept Amex. Just yesterday I was due a refund. Instead of $350 USD I received $50. I immediately set up a dispute as dealing with the international company was a waste of time. Within the hour PayPal escalated the dispute. Today - next day - settled in my favour. I find Amex excellent too.

I'm in the UK and Boots is across the road and I wanted a small bottle of cleanser and they only had large.

I'm only here for a few more days so what is left I'm leaving behind for the cleaners. I went back to the hotel and using Amazon Prime ordered the small bottle which will be delivered to the hotel tomorrow morning saving 11 pounds on a big bottle - happy as

Having nothing to do, and doing nothing after coming home from a trip away.
Washing? There's always washing. MrP annoys me. I ask during a trip when I have access to a washing machine, can I have all your dirty clothes. He hands over a sacrificial couple of things then states that's all. Righteo. We get home and the dirty clothes hamper gets stuffed full! I know now to say - unless you want to spend the day washing when you get back then hand 'em over. Maybe this is a WCMO after all. 😂

The good news ;)

Had a half a tank of petrol but prices were low so thought I'd top up because it's likely to spike in the next few days.

I use the OTR app because I don't have to go into the store and you just scan your pump fill up and off you go. Also normally I get 2-10 cents off the displayed price. More often 2-4 and only once 10 cents.

Went to pay and it came up and said you've just won a free tank of petrol

The bad news - 😥I rarely fill up a half a tank - why did it happen that day and not when my tank was nearly empty

Obvious. They KNEW you only needed half a tank! Wowowowo…

Oh I wish. If I nap in the middle of the day I am ratso for the rest of the day - just groggy and out of it. MrLtL and the rest of the family can nap and wake up refreshed and ready to go.
I don't sleep at night let alone during the day
