linking separate bookings -- will I be able to select better seats for my partner?

Hi everyone,

I have a work trip in February to Sydney and my partner's coming along for the weekend. I had to book separately (mine through work's Egencia account, partner's on the QF site). Since I'm WP I can see free seats from row 6 onwards, but my partner being NB can only select from 19 (I think?) onwards. Can I someone link to the two booking together so we can select seats close to the front?

Nope.

Linking doesn't combine PNR it just creates a note in the profile.
Best bet is to check the partner in early and hope for the best.

Would be cool if QF have a feature where you could combine an extra 1 or 2 PNRs for the purposes of seat selection, using the highest status in the group as the rule and applying to everyone.
I'm sure the number of people who have work trip and book the partner on an award seat is a decent amount.

I'm pretty sure when I've done this in the past that the seat selection combined them together in the one screen so I could pick from the Platinum seat 'areas' for both pax will have to go back through my bookings and try to confirm

Ditto, have done this a few times and all you get is both appear together with OLCI.

A quick phone call to the Service Desk sorts it quite quickly. Have both PNR, and look where you would like your partner sitting before hand. They can effect it, and without charge on the international legs.

Ring QF, Premium desk as you are Plat. They will link the 2 PNRs, and enable your partner to select a seat next to you.

As others have said, call to get it down. However, even though linked, you can't select the partner seat online. So at time of calling, requests the seats you want.
