Overnight flight so I aimed to maximize rest onboard. I chose seat 2A. The seats are identical to those on the A380 but the layout is slightly different. 2A was very private and quiet as the toilets and galley are at the front of the aircraft.

That bed looks so comfy.

It’s pretty good. Not quite up there with JL or QF. They are 1st and 2nd of those that I’ve tried.

Agree JL has the best bedding in F but QR is also amazingly comfortable, slightly ahead of LH and QF IMO.

Looks sensational!

So that I don't make a fool of myself when I finally fly F.... when eating caviar, what do you do with the bag of stuff?

The 'bag' is wrapped around lemon... there so that if you squeeze the lemon there no unwanted pips, or pith going in to your caviar. (Also helps to stop it spraying!)

As for the other garnishes... you mix as many of them as you want, to your liking. But I'd recommend trying the caviar without anything to start (not even bread or blini), you may like it unadulterated.

Ice cold vodka is usually the recommended drink of choice, because it is least likely to affect the flavour of the caviar. But it's all personal preference. Many prefer champagne.

Icy Vodka with caviar does work a treat because I don’t do that at home.

Skipped the dinner entirely so that I could maximize my rest and wake up for breakfast prior to landing in MUC. Breakfast didn’t disappoint. The scrambled eggs with crispy bacon was easily the best eggs I have ever been served on an aircraft.
:)

First Class, First World problem but Im not a fan of the foot rest that dont have a barrier of some sort because I found that my feet slide out or get in the aisle while sleeping. Of course, if this was my seat, I would endure.

In all seriousness, I know Y holiday travelers know its fancy up in J and F but when I share some of our pics with them, they are often stunned by what happens up there. I think a PJ pic launched about a dozen, "You get pjs!?" responses.

Loving the photos, many thanks for sharing.

I had about 2 1/2 hours transit here before my flight to LHR. Made a beeline for the First Class Lounge. Very smooth transit as similar to FRA they have their own Border procedures here so you simply hand over your passport on arrival at the lounge and collect on departure. If your connecting flight is from a remote stand you will be driven to the flight.
The F Lounge at MUC is beautifully appointed with similar decor to the FCT at FRA. Smaller and was quite quiet when I visited. Oktoberfest decorations were everywhere, including the Ducks...
