Here are some pics from my recent LH F experience. I loved every minute and would highly recommend it.
I had a connecting flight to FRA from TXL. That part of the trip wasn’t memorable. TXL is like something from the Cold War with cramped gate areas and a scrum for priority boarding that makes QF look like a walk in the park.
Upon arrival in FRA we had prebooked the €99 Porsche rental. You get a 911 for 3 hours with a 150Km allowance including the fuel and using the suggested driving maps go nuts on the Autobahn.
Of course TKWIA so the car had personalized plates for me
Afterwards you drop the car at the FCT.
Next up some time in the FCT

The FCT
If you are arriving on a connecting flight you need to make your own way to the FCT (assuming you haven’t driven yourself there in the Porsche). The Check-in process is very efficient and your Personal Assistant escorts you through security and into the Lounge.
It wasn’t terribly busy when we were there but in any case the acoustics are good and the service is very polished.

A short spell at the window tables to recharge my phone. Headed into the restaurant for a meal. I chose the veal sausage and some Ruinart. The food was delicious.

Approx how much is the copayment when booked through KF? I'm considering changing my JFK-FRA flight next year from SQ R to LH F if availability presents itself near departure time.

It’s about $750 AUD
And if you do change it tag on a LH short haul connecting flight. Then you will get the full FCT experience on arrival at FRA.

Boarding and the flight. Once boarding commenced our PA came to collect us in the lounge and escort us downstairs to be driven to the aircraft. There were another two pax going with us and we were driven in a Merc people mover. Feeling a tiny bit precious this one part disappointed me but yes a true first world problem

FRA-ORD. Was really looking forward to being in the Queen of the Skies a Boeing 747-800.
Naturally I had selected seat 1A

As someone who has not been driven to a plane (other than when I was 6 years old, quite some time ago) I am curious about a couple of things. Are you boarded first, last, or random? And do you have to walk up stairs either direct to the plane, or to the aerobridge?
