LEGO zone at Qantas Club SYD

Seems like there's a new LEGO zone for kids (maybe adult kids too) at SYD Qantas Club. Got to say from the promo video it actually looks like a pretty cool space and initiative.

You can always waltz in to the Qantas Club, disdainfully and snobbishly, to then go play with the Lego's (this is my plan at least)

What is to stop the bricks from walking?

I can imagine this will be an Virus and bacteria cesspit

Last time we went to a Legoland somewhere can't remember 20 something years ago, there was a section where you were given 4 wheels on entry and the section had open access to standard bricks so you could build a race car that you could roll down an incline. The trick was to continue iterating the build to make it faster. Not surprisingly the dads basically took over the place and I had a very fast car. On exit, you had to give the wheels back. The bricks were all general bricks and not worth much but the wheels were.

No idea what their plans are to keep the maintenance. That said I'd at least applaud them for trying. I think my wife is going to pop into QC to check it out later in July now that she knows it exists.

Is this actually open now? I was in there with Mr. 5 and 8 over the long weekend and they were very excited to see all the Lego design barricades up and some Lego clouds floating from the ceiling. They would have had a great time in there if it was available. I certainly wouldn't want to be the one responsible for putting all the Lego pieces back or trying to keep them within that area but as long as I only need to do that at home I think it will be a far better space and keep the kids more contained and yet happier and occupied than the old kids zone
