LAX to Anaheim Transfers

Ticketing is not check-in.

I was able to check-in at TBIT ~4pm for my QF94 flight back in March. Last November I was able to check at the T4 A/C QF service desk at ~3pm.

Also with OLCI for international flights now available, it may be worthwhile pursuing this avenue.

I realise that, and am simply stating that the staffing of the check-in counters seem to be a little hit and miss.

Checking in at T4 I have never had an issue with finding QF staff, however in TBIT, it seems to be later in the afternoon.

This morning I booked a return LAX-Anaheim on the Super Shuttle - cost $US120 for 4 people. Then when I went to pay there was an 18% 'gratuity' added - another $21.60. So the driver is not going to get anywhere with his hand out at the end of each trip!

Probably saw we were Australians and mandated the tip!

That is standard with all pre-booked/pre-paid Super Shuttle bookings.

You still are expected to tip for assistance with your bags, and some drivers will not allow you to load them in the vehicle.

Just remember, little things like not tipping a few dollars for a few bags after getting to the hotel may result in a late driver for your return trip to the driver.

I know this for a fact as on 2 occasions friends of mine who are tight a55es when it comes to tipping had a very nervous wait for there return pick-up only just making it on time for check-in cut-off.

Personally I think any enforced gratuity stinks, but unless you want to rent a car (my only option) or catch the Disneyland Express bus, which is my 2nd option you dont have much of an option.

If you're paying a tip though, I don't see why you have to pay another tip. What is the point of the enforced gratuity then?

Maybe it's better to just pay on the day instead of booking.

After my one and probably only experience with Supershuttle and it's compulsory tipping I am very unlikely to ever use then again. The guy was 1¼ hours late and got lost after picking me up - it took 3 hours for a scheduled 80 minute transfer.

I have since found Car Hire worldwide : netflights.com (mentioned on AFF) where it costs £17 + fuel for a one-way/one-day rental within CA.
