LAX lounge access

I am travelling QF Melb - LAX - Vancouver soon and trying to work out if I am able to use guest passes and get into the Qantas lounge in TBIT. We arrive into terminal B and take off again 4 hrs later on a QF codeshare airline from terminal 6. Do I need to collect and recheck bags or is it possible to stay in the international terminal to use lounge?. From what I have read, guest passes can not be used in associated lounges (like the qantas/aa lounge in terminal 4). My husband is a gold QF FF but I am not travelling with him thus using the passes.

What is the codeshare airline?

It has a QF flight number but is by compass airlines on behalf of AA

Correct the Business Class lounge is branded as a oneworld lounge, although operated by Qantas.

And yes...you do need to go through immigration/customs and recheck...
