Hi travelling qantas in a few months and always had QC through work and/or travelled business or first internationally so never had an issue with lounge access etc. now travelling with my child L.A-Syd economy qantas and wanted to see if there was any way to pay for some type of lounge access in LA. Have it from this end as we get passes from our Qantas CC but seems passes aren’t accepted at LAX. Any and all advice very much appreciated thanks

Hey bella_oes - Sorry I can't help much as I have the same question and am having trouble working out the options
It does look to me that at LAX there are a number of lounges so the QANTAS lounge may not be the one to try for

In my case I am flying from LAX to BNE after 11pm on a Sunday later this year
It appears to me that being an economy ticket means that no way to access the QANTAS lounge/shared Oneworld lounge because as per the QANTAS website "Complimentary invitations cannot be used in the Los Angeles oneworld lounge"

So I am hoping there might be there other ways to get access (e.g. via a credit card or similar) or perhaps I need to expand the search and keep looking for access to another lounge at LAX as there appear to be some that provide the option for buying a day pass.

If anyone can provide any guidance or help it would be most welcome
Thanks

If you have a Diners Card, you can access

TBIT - KAL
T2 - Virgin Atlantic

Good to know - Thanks for the information
I don't suppose there is a consolidated guide for lounge access requirements (perhaps by lounge type or even by airport)?

lounge buddy is what you want as @p--and--t suggested.
Dinners cards or priority pass would be an option.

Given you are leaving from TBIT the KAL lounge is probably your best bet.

Given that some terminals are connected internally, if you have time, maybe try AA T4 admirals club for a day pass (although it's $59). Don't think you can buy online, you have to ask at the door.

Having used this business lounge last year, it's a shared facility with Cathay, AirFrance and British Airways (not sure about American), and is always under the pump. From 6pm until midnight most nights it's packed with Aussies. Hence no 'no complimentaries' rule. QF also have their own First lounge, but don't even think about that.
