What dates?

Mid/late Sept to mid/late Oct. But I did notice that the cheap fares were disappearing fast, so they may be quite hard to find now. Seems to be better availability ex HBE (Alexandria), and fares may be slightly cheaper.

Just booked KUL-DOH-MUC / HEL-DOH-PER in for late July / early August for $2340AUD with the VISA discount. Per QF earning tables I think that gives 360SCs.

Curious. Priced AMS to Dubai one way J class for 2 adults (1 stop in Doha) and its cheaper than AMS -Doha direct by about 1,000 euro.

The multi-city function appears to be a bit temperamental at times. While searching I found that errors seemed to crop up mostly in the following situations:
1. Where there is a partner flight involved - for example, the multi-city function offered HEL-LHR-DOH-PER (first leg on AY) and HEL-DOH-HKG-PER (last leg on CX) but reported an error when selected. This is probably understandable as partner airline fares may not be eligible for promotions.
2. Where one leg is not in the requested class - for example, connecting flights on Jetstar/Jetstar Asia.

Even then, I found that pure QR itineraries would also sometimes come back with an error. Perhaps it occurs if a flight has sold out of a particular fare bucket? I'm afraid I can only suggest you try again with different flights / dates if it's happening to you frequently.

As an aside, I found it interesting that QR's booking system doesn't promote oneworld partners as priority - I was offered connections on airlines like Malindo (before MH) and VA (before QF) because the connection times were shorter. Good for people trying to get somewhere quickly but not so good for chasing SC (or using oneworld benefits).

It's because the ME carriers charge a premium to/from their home bases (captive audience).

I recently priced DXB-HBE-DXB (via DOH) on QR, and it was much cheaper than DOH-HBE-DOH. Just the way it is, I'm afraid.

Had some fun paying for them though. Using VISA code (which did reduce the price) gives you then only the option of paying with Visa. Fair enough.

Tried a Visa Debit card (Issued from an Australian Credit Union) would not work-payment blocked by Credit Union- message to contact then, however help desk only open Monday to Friday 9-5.

After a couple of attempts. Qatar payment page reloads, telling me my session has timed out.

As it is Sunday night no Australian Qatar office to phone. As I am on the phone waiting for Qatar in Qatar I notice that I have a PNR on the screen.

So I log in to Manage Your Booking, load the PNR, and get a screen telling me I need to complete payment by 2200hrs and would I like to pay now? Next screen gives me Amex, Mastercard, Diners, Visa etc. all the options.

Amex does not work, nor Mastercard or the Visa Debit. But there is a Paypal option, and using a Mastercard credit card it did work.

So thank you to the posters here and on Flyertalk- flights booked and paid for. 787/A350/A380 here we come

ITA Matrix, but you had to search for two tickets. It's a companion ticket sale.

But also the sale ends 16 Jan. i.e. today

Not sure if you're aware, but QR offer free transit accommodation where your connection is over 8 hours (and you could not have booked a shorter connection). Transit accommodation
