Hi guys

Very sorry if this has been mentioned elsewhere - I tried to use the search function but not quite sure what combination of terms to use.

In short, I booked a reasonably comprehensive trip to the US using FF points 7 days ago (130,000 odd points, multi-leg, predominantly on AA other than the international component).

Due to issues with the internet I booked on the phone and they waived the fee. I have been charged the $432 in taxes, have the itinerary in my inbox and can see the booking on the Qantas app. However, Qantas is yet to deduct the points or issue my e-ticket, whereas my mate who booked at the same time online had the deduction processed and ticket issued instantaneously.

Is this normal? Any chance there's been an error?

I spoke to Qantas twice via Facebook who told me they referred it to ticketing with no further info, but I don't have time to sit on the phone for an hour waiting to speak to an operator.

cheers

Same situation about 18 months ago, had to call to resolve, ticket was stuck and required manual intervention. Two minutes later, ticket was issued
