I've been thinking of taking an animal - but I dont know of MrP's reaction. Maybe I will tell him its an AFF thing? Is that MrBindiB? I dont think he gets it either!

Yes that's MrBB. The clone is actually his. Long story short.... we lost a lot of close friends in quick succession, and Missy's death was the straw that broke his back. We all have pets throughout our lives, but Missy was one of those that totally touched your heart. The most trusting, chill-axed animal.
Her death put my husband into depression. I had the clone made in an attempt to help him get over all the deaths.
She now travels with him most weeks he is on the road, and we have made her our travelling companion.
The look on his face was only because he was having his photo taken.(on our way back from AFF gathering in Cairns)
She is a great conversation starter, and the number that have wanted the web site, so they could get clones made of their favourite pet has been incredible. (I should be on commission)
She does tend to startle the xray person at airports though..... as she comes out of the machine.

As you can see, she will fit perfectly either on top or in the bag. (the lap top cost 1/3 of Missy, so she takes priority.

Even colour coodinated I see.
We are on 5 day Alaskan land tour before a cruise. I am going to see if I can cram five days supplies in this bag to see if I can cut out some luggage logistics. Wish me luck.

I am looking to do the same thing while we are in Turkey.
3 days in the city, then 3 day/2 nights away Gallipoli/Troy/Ephesus, then back to Istanbul for another 2 nights.
Picked Doubletree as they have luggage storage.(plus 9 QF points per $)
Hoping to getaway with just the hand luggage for those 2 nights.

We will get luggage labels. A couple for luggage that goes straight to the ship. Will contain our cruisey clothes and for Hawaii. Then we have labels 'meet me tonight'. These are taken away early in the morning and arrive at the lodges later that night. Then we can take a carry on style - but not like a plane carryon but must go under the seat. The 'meet me tonight' is the one I'm hoping to dispense with.

Sounds like what we had to do for our overnight cruise on Lake Titicaca.
Pick which bag you wanted with you on the boat, the others go via land and meets up with you on the other side of the Lake.
(except they loaded the wrong bag....... had to send another boat out to meet our boat with the correct bag)
Not that I am setting you up for the same fate  (unless you are travelling during Mercury??)

Groan. Hopefully not in retrograde. :( :p.
Princess have apparently got this down to a fine art. Our cruise is five days later - big '0' birthday spent in Glacier Bay. And a wedding anniversary to boot.

My birthday this year will be on a full moon cruising down/up ?? the Nile.
(We don't talk about the Big 0's, hubby has managed to stuff up the last 2)

So my Baggallini arrived this morning. I am very happy with the size of it. It will get its first outing on the 24/02 when I fly to Tassie for a week.
The purple is not too bright, the lining in a yucky olive -greenish colour -but I can live with that. The end pockets easily take a water bottle. It has an attached little bag. It easily slides on to a rollon bag.

Photos to come when I remember how to resize my photos ;)

The outside pockets are deep, and although they don't have zips or Velcro to keep them closed I don't think there will be a problem.

I like that lining colour with aubergine mrs.dr.ron. Very mediterranean it is. (Not purple :p).

MrsDrRon, what brand/model is the rollon bag? (I'm luggage obsessed!!)

Yes Denali is right, it is a Samsonite 72hr ultralite. We now have 4 rollons !!!! I don't know if we are luggage obsessed or what, but I have decided ( after a few long trips ) I don't like cases that split in half when opened - I like the lid opening type, so now we have a collection of both types, but as they bring out lighter and lighter ones the collection grows :D ( TIP: don't buy ITLuggage Megalite - it didn't last 4 flights without problems !!!! )
