KUL-SIN-DPS-MEL maybe all airside, maybe not…

I wonder if they'll keep the F lounge open the whole time or if they'll close the F lounge slightly earlier and point people towards the J lounge?
Or vice versa?

Pity you don’t have a OW J BP, you could have snuck into the QR J lounge. The late flight to DOH departs around 2am (lounge opens before 6pm by many reports).

Next up is the airside transit hotel.

Mistake or not?

The bed was comfortable enough. Better than any airline business class that I’ve taken. And the room was reasonably quiet.

So I had a few hours good sleep then an early morning shower.

You get a breakfast of sorts included:

Looks reasonable. Like the bed, it's better than you'd likely get on most planes - especially on 3K! Did they bring that to the room, or do they have their own space for meals? I expect if it's the room, that they are tied up with one of the lounges in the terminal to provide F&B.

SIN-DPS 06:55-09:55 on 3K243
xDPS-MEL 12:45-21:15 on JQ44

And there’s the transit in DPS. How that will go I don’t really know. But I should have nearly 3 hours to do it! And it is a single booking transit.

Looks like flight is delayed so at least you'll have time to clear immigration if you need to re-check in:

They have a lounge area with tables. During the day there’s an outdoors pool as well.

3K243 SIN-DPS and transit in DPS.

The flight left on time and arrived early.

The leg room was excellent in row 13 and the middle seat stayed vacant.

The crew were excellent. As Jetstar crew tend to be.

BUT they had a few unhappy pax, including me, because the promised inflight meal deal didn’t happen:

According to the crew, that’s supposed to be shown on the boarding pass. But wasn’t.

The CSM couldn’t do anything about it. But did offer a free coffee.

I suppose affected pax could have bought a meal deal on board and claimed it from Jetstar?

Arrival in DPS was painless. There were no staff meeting transit passengers. But the signage was clear, BPs were scanned, bags X-rayed and we all went straight through to the departure gates.

So it’s been all air-side from KUL so far…

Yes, should have on the boarding pass - I reckon you'd have got the money back, but would it be worth the effort is the question: https://www.jetstar.com/au/en/help/articles/in-flight-meal-deal-terms-and-conditions

Edit: it doesn't state specifically that it will be printed on the BP, though you would expect a code on there would be the obvious way. You'd think the passenger list might have had a code as well.

Chatted to Jetstar online. They agreed it was a mistake and will refund something.

But they can’t do that until after I’ve flown JQ44.

Don’t know why…

JQ44 DPS-MEL.

It should be about to depart…

But it seems to be a notoriously late flight and today is no exception. :(

It’s at least 2 hours late today. Thank goodness the incoming flight, JQ57 from BNE, which left 2 hours late, is nearly here.

How was transit in DPS?
