KUL-SIN-DPS-MEL maybe all airside, maybe not…

Don’t expect too much on a ca 1 hour international flight on MH.

And yes, the regional and domestic flights tend to depart from the M - main terminal. So you need to catch the train over to the S - satellite terminal if you want to enjoy the MH F-lounge. Allow some extra time!

Now to arrival in SIN.

I went to the T1 transfers desk. They hadn’t heard of Jetstar it seems!

Maybe at 17:30-ish a desk might open…

So off to the Qantas J lounge, boarding-pass less. The entrance staff checked with management and allowed me in based on my Jetstar itinerary. And nicely mentioned that I’m good for the F-lounge too.

But I was meeting a friend in the J lounge. So that’s where I am at the moment.

Yes. I knew that might happen. But with the T1 transit hotel booked for tonight, I’d rather not risk going landside if my Jetstar BPs can’t be (100% for sure) issued.

I can just stay airside and fetch the BPs tomorrow morning.

Yes, I think so. The C transfer closest to the Qantas J lounge.
There are about 10 desks at transfer C.

The ones on the left with the queuing set up at the SATS run (Scoot plus a bunch of other random airlines), generally a couple of desks are free then Jetstar sets up a single desk (it'll be clearly signed with a JQ logo on the screen plus they were the only staff memeber as the desk wearing a JQ uniform - or actually any airline uniform) with Air France/KLM and Finnair on the right hand side.

I came off QF2 from London about a month ago and walked past C and there was a Jetstar desk. Then 2 weeks ago at about 8pm I was trying to get permission to re-enter Singapore after a Scoot delay and there was 100% a Jetstar desk again in the same spot.

I think they largely open to serve transfers from the QF arrivals from MEL, SYD, BNE, PER and LHR.

QF71 arrived at 16:20 (20 mins early).

Success! They are now open at Transfer C.

I now have 2 x Jetstar boarding passes!

(Oddly, the same lady that looked at me in a perplexed gaze earlier when I mentioned Jetstar, was helping the Jetstar staff).

Great result. Saves going out in the morning.

So are you moving to the F Lounge till it closes, then airside hotel?
QF 1 is several hours late arriving thanks to storms in SYD. Scheduled departure - 02:15am!

Enjoy late closing in the QF F Lounge!

When you arrive in Bali keep an eye out for ground staff who are helping those transiting. It should be a really painless process.

Enjoy late closing in the QF F Lounge!
I wonder if they'll keep the F lounge open the whole time or if they'll close the F lounge slightly earlier and point people towards the J lounge?

Indeed. My friend is off on QF36 (to MEL) and has gone to the gate now so I repositioned myself to here:

Actually the J lounge staff even suggested it.

And lovely to see Faith here!

With QF1 delayed there’s no hurry for me re dinner. I’m still full from lunch!

I ate nothing in the Qantas J lounge although the food on offer looked pretty good.
